There are many things in my life that I feel are essential. The word “essential” is defined as absolutely necessary or extremely important. Others may deem things essential that I don’t and vice versa. Without being too detailed and writing a book, I am going to tell you some things that I deem “Essential.” This website is to inform you and tell you the simple, yet essential things I do to maintain a good and balanced life.
As the youngest sibling of four, I grew up in a full house. My parents did a really good job teaching us what they felt was essential or important to our lives. When I was about 15 years of age, I really started making better decisions about my health and my life in general.
Coming from a family where the women are full figured, I knew that I would need to be aware of what I allowed in my body. It wasn’t just about weight for me. It was really about health. I realized that water was essential and that I needed a lot more than I was getting. From age fifteen until now, that is what I drink 99 percent of the time. Good water is essential. It wasn’t long after that when I began to understand the importance of exercise. I am not the kind of person that wants to be a body builder and I have never set the bar so high that it was impossible to reach. I just wanted to get in a good daily routine of physical activity. Physical activity or exercise is essential for our bodies to maintain good health.
I reached my early twenties and the next thing that I figured out was that I really needed my family. Growing up isn’t easy and life brings about challenges. While I had always been close with my family, it was then that I realized that family and close friends are essential. I didn’t want to live a life without close family and friends. Today, I am a wife to the most amazing man in the world and a mommy to two of the most beautiful and sweet girls on the planet. I am so blessed and thankful to God for my family.
Being a stay at home mom is what I always wanted to do. I am so thankful that I am living my dream. Staying organized is key. I have loved to clean and organize since I was a little girl. My teachers were amazed that I would rather clean the boards and vacuum the floor than have playtime. Don’t get me wrong, I loved chatting with friends, but I also enjoyed helping my teachers. I am not saying that you have to be extreme and clean all of the time, however, I feel that if you have a clean and organized life, you have a less stressful life. Organization is essential!
Along with water, we also need good food to stay healthy. Good unaltered food is definitely essential. Unfortunately, relying on large food companies and grocery stores isn’t the best way to get healthy food. I know. You are thinking that I am crazy if I think you are going to grow all of your own food and live off of your own land. While that is a great idea and I would love to do that myself, it isn’t reality for most of us. That is ok, we just have to educate ourselves and make sure that we aren’t just pumping our bodies full of synthetic chemicals. This website is to help educate you.
Now that I am in my early thirties, the next thing I deem “Essential” are Essential Oils. I have embraced the more natural and holistic lifestyle for many years now, but one thing we weren’t really doing in my family were oils. This is not a plug, but simply information. I truly believe that our amazing Creator put these plants on this Earth for a reason. Healing. Weather it be a common cold or high blood pressure, God gave us plants to extract oils from and use to heal our bodies. I am a distributor for Young Living Essential Oils, and I am so thankful to be apart of this wonderful company. I will be giving personal testimonies and plenty of information in my oils blogs.
I believe you will find this website helpful for you and your family.
